What is OCD?

  • The person tends to bother with overly small details that he/she is unable to fix or change. This leads to a pre-occupation with that is inevitable.

How Are Compulsions Defined?

  • Repetitive behaviors that the person feels compelled to perform in response to the obsession.
  • These behaviors are aimed at preventing or reducing distress or preventing some dreaded event or situation

What Other Factors Contribute?

Additionally, the person must realize that his/her obsessions or compulsions are:

  • Unreasonable or excessive
  • Time-consuming (taking up more than one hour per day)
  • Cause distress, or impairment in social or, occupational situations.

All in all, OCD is a terrible thing to have. But most importantly, it needs to be treated right away!
